Marcia Ward, Ph.D.
President, RHL

I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 1999 and was licensed to practice independently in Ohio in 2001.
I specialize in treating adults in individual and couples psychotherapy. I also have a specialty in geriatric psychology and am contracted to provide
psychological services to residents in numerous long term care facilities in Northwestern Ohio. Another area of interest for me clinically is working
with injured workers who develop psychological problems that stem from their work injury.
I am a member of The American Psychological Association, Ohio Psychological Association. I am a Board member for Toledo Area Academy of Professional
Psychologists and for The Zepf Community Mental Health Center.
My husband and I are raising our two children together. I enjoy skiing, gardening, reading, sailing and playing board and card games with my family
when I am not at work. I especially love to read to my kids.
I think about psychotherapy as an opportunity to examine aspects of one's life and make changes that lead to greater satisfaction overall. I believe
that it is a brave person who enters the psychotherapy process. I believe that psychotherapy can have significant healing effects on peoples' lives.
My approach to psychotherapy can best be described as Eclectic, combining aspects of Existential, Interpersonal and Gestalt theories in my work.
I am a provider on many insurance panels. I am also happy to work with people who want to pay for their psychotherapy themselves. Please call to talk
with me more fully about your interest in setting up an appointment.
